EDL Outcome: Community Political Leadership
SCIP Committee
As an Educational Leader and SCIP Committee member, it is important to know how schools and community resources work together to help families with issues such as drug and alcohol use. As a Community/Political Leader, I believe that it is important make sure that all stakeholders are aware of the partnerships and resources that we have available on the SCIP Committee. It is also important to inform the community about new trends or issues that teens, families and schools are facing. As a leader I will use tools like the schools website to continue to offer new and important information to parents, students, teachers, and to community.

PBIS Letter to Community Supporters
As an Educational Leader, it is important to build relationships with boosters and supporters in the business community. As a Community/Political Leader, I believe that it is important to inform the business community of important projects happening in their neighborhood school so they can make the decision to help support. This is an important relationship between school and community because it helps build and strengthen bonds. As a Community/Political Leader I will continue to reach out and communicate with the business community and work together to support our school and community.

LSE Boys Basketball Community Website
As an Educational Leader, it is important to have easy to use platforms for communication such as a website the community can access. As a Community/Political Leader, I believe that it is important to have multiple places that parent’s of students and community members can access important information. The LSE Boys Basketball Website is a way for the coaching staff to easily communicate practice and game schedules with players and parents to help reduce confusion. As a Community/Political Leader I will continue to find and support ways that school and community can communicate information between each other so that all stakeholders can be successful.
