Impacts of Poverty
As an Educational Leader, it is important to educate others about the impacts of issues such as Poverty and Adverse Childhood Experiences. As a Community/Political Leader, I believe that it is important make sure that teachers understand all the components of Poverty because they lead to issues and behaviors that are disruptive to the learning environment. The Impacts of Poverty Flowchart is designed to help teachers understand how Poverty influences issues such as Adverse Childhood Experiences that then lead to situations involving students that are hard to understand and provide interventions for in the classroom. As a leader I will use tools like The Impacts of Poverty Flowchart to provide information to my teachers to help them better understand how issues like Poverty directly impact their classroom through the students that are affected.

Cultural Diversity of a Building
As an Educational Leader, it is important to know how the ethnicity of your schools student population breaks down. As an Instructional Leader, I believe that it is important make sure that a schools leadership and instructors are constantly aware of their schools ethnicity to ensure that every student is supported in the teaching and instructing of students. The Lincoln Southeast Ethnicity Chart is a visual that helps all stakeholders see their schools ethnic makeup so that instruction and conversations can be planned to embrace all students. As a leader I will build data charts so that I can pay attention to the ethnic makeup of my school to ensure that leadership and staff are creating a culturally supportive instructional environment. These will be used to lead conversations and discussions on the individual, teacher, classroom, building, and community levels.

Understanding Male Students
As an Educational Leader, it is important to educate others about the differences that male students experience. As an Instructional Leader, I believe that it is important make sure that teachers understand the complexity of male students and the challenges they face so that they can plan lessons accordingly. I will help bridge the gap between male student behavior and academic success by informing and teaching others about the differences and needs of male students. As a leader I will provide information to my teachers to help them better understand issues that directly impact the male students in their classroom through researched based information and strategies teachers can use with their students.
