EDL Outcome: Instructional Leadership
Curriculum Development Outline
As an Educational Leader, it is important to be able to give teachers necessary information that pertains to the classes that they teach. As an Instructional Leader, I believe that it is important make sure that teachers are on the same page as the district in regards to what they are expected to teach in their classes. The Course Outline/Overview helps users see the important information about the class they are teaching in a quick and easy to use format. This will allow them to make sure they have all resources as well as make requests. As a leader I will find, use, and share tools like the Take Charge Course Outline/Overview as a way to make sure that the classes my teachers are teaching are inline with the districts view of the class as well as their goal of consistency across all schools.

As an Educational Leader, it is important to give people a map or visual idea of what it is that you are trying to accomplish. As an Instructional Leader, I believe that it is important make sure that committee members are on the same page so that they do not waste time on tasks or conversations that are not relevant to the outcomes. The Take Charge Curriculum Progression Chart helped committee members see the important information about the progression of our work so that we could stay on task. As a leader I will use tools like the Take Charge Curriculum Progression Chart as a way to make sure that the committee members I am working with have a vision of the direction that the committee is going so that the work is purposeful and on task.

As an Educational Leader on the Take Charge Curriculum Committee, it is important to be able to give teachers necessary information that pertains to the classes that they teach. As an Instructional Leader, I believe that it is important make sure that teachers are on the same page as the district in regards to what they are expected to teach in their classes. I made The Possible Lesson Plan as a way to help teachers see a possible way to pace the curriculum in accordance with the standards connected to each section. This will allow teachers to make sure they can plan accordingly to teach all the necessary components of the curriculum. As a leader I will find, use, and share tools like the Possible Lesson Plan as a way to make sure that teachers are informed with information as to how the District wants its classes taught as well as to meet the Districts goal of consistency across all schools.
